Focus and homework
Can’t settle, won’t start, tears over a single worksheet. Focus is a skill that grows with the right set-up, short bursts of work and plenty of praise.

3 ten-minute ideas for easier homework
- Break it down. Split the task into 3 small steps and write them on sticky notes. Your child pulls each one off when it’s done.
- Work in short bursts. Set a timer for 10 minutes of work, then 2 minutes of moving. Repeat.
- Make a calm homework corner. Same spot, same time, a clear table and nothing else on it. Keep pencils and a drink ready.
All three ideas are on Mooki cards, with simple steps on the front and a child-friendly activity on the back.
