Why I made Mooki

Hi, I’m Collette. I’ve been where you are.

Growing up in the 1980s, people called me thick, stupid and lazy at school. I now know that I am dyslexic and have ADHD. As a teacher, I saw children struggling just like I did. Then my own children began coming home frustrated, and I knew how lonely and confusing it can feel as a parent.

Mooki is the help I wish I’d had: calm, simple and kind, for your child and for you.

What parents say

“

It made her less anxious, visually seeing how much (little) she had to do. Great tip, will definitely be keeping it up.

Really useful cards. You can read through yourself and use some together. I’m finding them really useful, as is my son.

I am also dyslexic and I found it hard to find stuff that I can understand myself to help them.
