Sleep and bedtime

Can’t settle, worries at lights out, up again and again. A calm, predictable bedtime and a wind-down without screens can make a real difference within a couple of weeks.

3 ten-minute ideas for calmer bedtimes

  1. Make a picture bedtime routine. Bath, pyjamas, teeth, story, lights out. Same order every night, with pictures to follow.
  2. Screens off an hour before bed. Swap them for something calm: a jigsaw, drawing or a story.
  3. Keep a worry pad by the bed. Your child writes or draws a worry, closes the book, and you say “We’ll look at it tomorrow”.

All three ideas are on Mooki cards, with simple steps on the front and a child-friendly activity on the back.
